The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation warns that heavy rains will continue to fall on the northwestern coasts on Sunday and Monday, and their intensity will decrease in the rest of the northern coasts, the governorates of Lower Egypt, Cairo and the southern coasts. from the Red Sea, so be careful and take all necessary measures to avoid the damage that can result from continued rains. On the north coast, the forecast will be updated in the next few hours.
The Irrigation Ministry has set up emergency rooms in the governorates linked to a central operations room that includes all the ministry leaders, and the issuance of daily bulletins on the amounts of rain 72 hours before its occurrence, from the center of forecast of the ministry, in addition to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Authority, and the deal between all state agencies through an electronic operations room for monitoring the news in real time, so that urgent measures are directed to reduce the potential risks in light of daily forecasts and to move any event from the ground to the operations room that includes all the country’s ministers and executive bodies and those charged with managing flood crises.
The Irrigation Ministry said that all the facilities and projects carried out by the organs and sectors of the ministry during the last period are prepared to face the rainy and torrential season with high efficiency without any impact on the facilities or areas they protect.
