The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Friday the refusal of fans to attend the African qualifiers for the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
In an official statement today, Kaf said that a meeting was held with those responsible for security and surveillance of all federations with the aim of notifying them of a new protocol to face the Corona virus during the qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
The meeting was attended by around 60 officials from the member federations and designated safety and security coordinators at CAF, and attendees were eager to learn how to implement and comply with the security protocol in the context of these international matches.
The CAF decided to hold the matches without public presence, with the need to have a security plan for each federation before resuming official matches.
On its official website, CAF stated that the security and surveillance tasks of all federations were redefined, providing them with practical advice and guidelines on each of these points.
“Our goal is to ensure that there are standardized safety and security operations across Africa, with an emphasis on ensuring that matches take place in a safe and secure environment. We are aware of the enormous task ahead, especially in how to maintain Keep to fans outside the stadiums. “
He added: “From here we feel the need to guide all national security and protection officials, as well as appropriate officials concerned with security, towards best practices in these circumstances.”
“The protection of the players and officials before, during and after the game is of great importance in our operations. We need to ensure effective coordination between the security officials and all other health officials who will participate in the full start of each game.” .
