The Media Center of the Council of Ministers denied what was reported by some websites and social media pages about the cessation of the application of the early retirement system in accordance with the new Insurance and Pensions Law.
The Press Center of the Council of Ministers said that, in contact with the National Social Security Authority, it denied these reports, confirming that it is not valid to stop the application of the early pension system, explaining that the pension is an inherent right of their holder guaranteed by law and it is not allowed to deprive him or stop his payment in any way, emphasizing that That the state continues to comply with the insurance privileges established for early retirees without any prejudice.
The new Social Security and Pensions Law defined several conditions for the right to an “early pension”, represented by the availability of subscription periods in the old-age, disability and death insurance that give the right to a pension of no less than 50% of the salary or income of the last settlement, and not less than the minimum pension referred to in the last paragraph of article (24) of this law, which establishes that “the total pension payable must not be less than 65% of the minimum salary of contribution on the date of the right to the pension ”, in addition to the fact that the insurance contribution period includes an effective contribution period of no less than 240 months. And it will be for a period of validity of 300 months from 5 years from the date of implementation of the new law, and who deserves an early pension, and who wishes to request the advance payment of the pension will not be suspended, must meet the three conditions referred to and stipulated by the Insurance Law as a whole.
