Muhammad al-Shami celebrates Ismaili’s goal at the Alexandria Union
The Ismaili Club denied the possibility of concluding reciprocal agreements with Al Ittihad of Alexandria.
Reports indicating the possibility of Muhammad al-Shami transferring to the Alexandria Union were linked in exchange for the addition of Mahmoud Rizk, the defender of the Union, in addition to a sum of money for the dervishes.
Alaa Waheed, the official spokesperson for the Ismaili club, told FilGoal.com: “The club president refused not to conclude reciprocal agreements with the Alexandria team.”
“We are working to announce the agreements to be completed clearly,” he added.
He concluded: “What we seek is to achieve a change in the performance and results of the team through what we seek to include new players and support the different lines of the team.”
In the same context, Ismaili striker Muhammad al-Shami expressed surprise at the decision to leave the team and enter a trade, and was not aware of the decision.
Al-Shami told FilGoal.com: “I love Ismaily, and with what the club officials see, make the most of the club.”
He continued: “I prepared to install myself in the club, my contract was for 3 seasons.”
“I play with enthusiasm and in any position, and I play more than one role on the field, offensive and defensive, for the love of the team.”
Al-Shami moved to Ismaily in the summer of 2018 from Zamalek, and for two seasons he fought with the Dervishes 55 matches, scored 5 and did the same in all competitions.
