The Public Ministry ordered the imprisonment of a defendant for having committed an indecent act in public in one of the means of transport in Zagazig, and the competent court decided to renew his detention for a period of 15 days pending investigations.
The Prosecutor’s Office stated in a statement that it was notified by the assistant to the investigator of the second Zagazig police station of its observation on the morning of October 31, several citizens gathered in the departmental department, and the accused was arrested after harassing a student during his independence from a means of transport, and arrested him to be presented to the Public Ministry.
The prosecution explained that the victim witnessed in the investigations of the prosecution, when the accused looked at her and committed acts that violated her modesty. She asked him for help, with the intention of harassing her, so he sought the help of those in the transport, so they arrested him and handed him over to the police.
The Prosecutor’s Office stated that it questioned the defendant about what was attributed to him as a flagrant and indecent act in public, and exposing him to other people in a public place by carrying out pornographic matters, for which he decided that he had insured without his will as a result of the contact with the seat in which he was sitting that aroused his desire, denying having exposed the victim.
It added that the police investigation confirmed that the defendant committed a publicly scandalous act, and that he was entrusted with the means of transportation, and the victim witnessed him during that act.
Major General Ibrahim Abdel Ghaffar, Sharqia’s Security Director, had received a notification from Major General Amr Raouf, Criminal Investigation Director, stating that a 19-year-old girl named “HA” had received a report accusing “AM”, a human doctor from Zagazig University, of harassing her. And masturbation inside a minibus in which he was traveling on the second section of Zagazig.
The young man was arrested and Act No. 6583 of Zagazig Second Offense of the year 2020 was released, and referring to the Public Ministry, decided to imprison him pending investigation on charges of harassment and commission of indecent act.
