Ali Darwish, executive director of the Cairo International Stadium General Authority, said they have approached the Football Association to officially inform them that the main stadium of the stadium will be closed for a month, from November 18 to December 18.
Darwish added in exclusive statements to Lilacora: “We sent an official letter to the Football Association to close the stadium, to be aware of not hosting any matches during this period, and after the match between Zamalek and Moroccan Raja, the main stadium will host two games before the closing, the first game of the national team against Togo on the 14th of this month in the qualifiers. ” The qualification for the African Cup of Nations and the friendly that will unite the Olympic team with Brazil on the 17th of this month and the main stadium will be closed the next day.
The executive director of the General Authority of the Cairo International Stadium indicated that the closure is due to the sowing of winter seeds and the maintenance of the stadium, and that requires a month, so the main stadium will not host any matches during that period.
Darwish confirmed that the Olympic team is currently doing their training in the stadium sub-stadium, and after days the first team starts their closed camp and will carry out their training in the main stadium.
