Amir Mortada Mansour, General Supervisor of Football at Zamalek Club, confirmed that his position at the White Castle is equal to that of Mahmoud Al-Khatib, President of Al-Ahly Club, as General Supervisor of the Football Sector at the Red Castle.
Amir Mortada stressed that he cannot be compared to Sayed Abdel Hafeez, football director of the Al-Ahly club, due to the different positions.
Mortada Mansour’s son demanded that he not be compared to Sayed Abdel Hafeez because he is less than him in the position.
The General Supervisor of Football of the Zamalek Club declared on television that the current generation Zamalek players are more champions than Al-Ahly and that they know how to play great matches and tournaments.
Amir explained that Zamalek has great reasons to win the African Champions League after losing the championship in 2016 to the Sun Downs of South Africa.
He added that Zamalek players need this tournament, every team match in this tournament is a tournament in turn, every match we win and forget until we reach the final.
Amir Mansour congratulated the Zamalek fans for reaching the final match.
Amir Mortada added in his remarks: “The championship has a different flavor against it. We respect any competitor, much less Al-Ahly, our traditional competitor.”
Amir Mansour also thanked the players and the Raja Club management for the sportsmanship and good reception in Morocco.
Yesterday Zamalek beat Moroccan Raja 3-1 to repeat the victory over the Moroccan team, qualify for the final and set an appointment with Al-Ahly on November 27 at the end of the African Champions League campaign.
