Hossam El-Badry, Egypt’s coach, believes that the African Champions League final between Al-Ahly and Zamalek will not negatively affect the team.
The Egyptian national team started their camp in preparation for the Togo team on November 14 and 17 in the qualifying rounds for the African nations.
Al-Badri said in a press release after the training session in Petrosport: “The African final between Al-Ahly and Zamalek will not affect the team, especially after it was postponed until Matchday 27, and there is great morale for the players of the two teams. “
He added: “The arrival of Al-Ahly and Zamalek to the African final is a positive thing, and I hope it will be of interest to the national team.”
“The reason for summoning a large number of players is to compensate any player who suffers an injury.”
Al-Badri stressed that “the circumstances to which the national team is exposed have not occurred in the history of Egyptian football.”
Hossam Al-Badri revealed: “There is a possibility of adding Mahmoud Kahraba to the Egyptian national team in the next period, and the accounts are all technical and nothing more.”
He added: “The possibility of joining Kahraba to compensate Taher Muhammad, who was injured.”
Regarding the exclusion of Ahmed Fathy, he explained: “It is technical to look to the future in light of the desire to build a good generation for the Egyptian team.”
Finally, speaking of Mustafa Muhammad, he said: “His capabilities are very high, and our aim is to raise his capabilities and I think my statements raised his level significantly.”
He concluded his comments: “I included Mustafa Mohamed before his brilliance against Raja, and all the players must work.”
