South African press reports said Thursday that the Al-Ahly administration agreed with Uruguayan Gaston Sereno to include him in the ranks of the Red Fort.

The South African newspaper “Kick Off” reported that there was an agreement between Al-Ahly and Sereno, but what is preventing the deal from being completed is the Sundowns club, which is holding on to more money.

The South African newspaper added, from its sources, that Serino’s signing for Al-Ahly will be on behalf of Aliu Badji, who considers himself to be removed from the accounts of South African coach Pitso Musimane.

The newspaper mentioned that Sereno has a desire to move to North Africa after winning the league title with Sundowns in the last three seasons.

“Yallakora” had previously revealed that Musimani had promised Al-Ahly management to terminate the contract with Sereno, after the Uruguayan wing was targeted by Red Castle officials. (See details)

In the last period, Al-Ahly entered into negotiations with more than one player to support the team before the start of the new season, perhaps the most prominent of them being Badr Banoune, defender of Moroccan Raja Casablanca, and Ahmed Ramadan “Beckham “, defense of Wadi Degla.

Al-Ahly was able to support the front line by hiring Taher Mohamed Taher, the wing of the Arab Contractors team, to be the red team’s first deals before the start of the new season (2020-2021).
