Hossam Al-Badri, the coach of the Egyptian first team, decided to summon Hussein Al-Shahat, the first team player of the Al-Ahly Club, to the next camp of the pharaohs, despite the announcement of his injury by the Castle Red.

The Football Association stated in an official statement that Hossam Al-Badri requested that Hussein Al-Shahat undergo medical examinations with the knowledge of the team doctor and presented him with the results of this examination.

The statement indicated that the results of the medical examinations will be discussed by Al-Badri with the members of his auxiliary apparatus to determine their position from the medical point of view before resolving the list of names added by the Al-Ahly players for the camp.

The Football Association confirmed that Muhammad Abu Al-Ela, the national team doctor, had already performed medical examinations on Hussein Al-Shahat to find out the extent of his recent injury that prevented him from meeting Al-Ahly in front of the vanguards of the army.

Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly football coach, had earlier announced that Hussein Al-Shahat was absent from Al-Jaysh’s forefront match at the end of league competitions due to a slight strain in his back muscle, and the Coaching staff led by Pitso Musimani preferred to rest him from the match that ended with the Red Genius victory by 3 clean.

The Egyptian team will play two important matches in the third and fourth round of the qualifying rounds for the African Cup of Nations on November 14 and 17, after drawing in the first and second rounds against Kenya and Comoros.
