The newspaper “The Mail on Sunday” quoted the wife of British actor Sean Connery, who died on Saturday at the age of 90, that she had dementia and died “in peace”.
Micheline Roquebrune, a French painter and second wife of Connery, said the latter, famous for playing secret agent 007, died peacefully in her sleep.

“I was with him the whole time and he lost consciousness … that’s what he wanted,” he added.
She revealed that “he suffered from dementia and it affected him negatively.”
“It was wonderful and we had a wonderful life … Without him, it would be very difficult, and I know … But nothing lasts forever,” Rockbrunn said.
Jason, son of Sir Sean Connery, told the BBC that his father died peacefully in his sleep on Friday night while in the Bahamas and that he had been “feeling bad for some time.”
Following news of the death of the legendary actor who was the first to play the role of secret agent James Bond, one of Britain’s most famous and popular screen heroes released a torrent of condolences.
The Scottish actor, who won the knighthood in 2000, has won numerous awards during his decades of career, including an Oscar, three Golden Globes and two BAFTAs.
And the family announced they would visit Sean Connery in a private ceremony, saying they intended to hold an honorary ceremony as soon as the virus ended.
