West Ham United manager David Moyes believes Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah does not deserve a penalty in the match between the two teams.

Liverpool beat West Ham by two goals to one at Anfield on matchday seven of the English Premier League, and Salah scored the Reds’ first goal from a penalty.

“I don’t think the game deserves a penalty,” Moyes said in featured comments by the Daily Mail.

“I think Salah dropped to the ground,” added the West Ham coach.

He added, “Arthur Masuako stopped because he expected the referee to do something about the way Salah fell, but the decision was in favor of Liverpool.”

The Egyptian international scored a penalty in the 41st minute after Masuako was blocked in the 18th district.

Salah took the penalty himself and scored it as usual in the middle of the goal, to tie with Liverpool, who were behind with a goal from Pablo Fornals from minute ten.

Moyes continued: “We must not forget many of the positive things we got from the game, but we are disappointed that we didn’t get any points from the game.”

He concluded: “Liverpool played well, but we also had some chances to score the second goal and we didn’t get it. The front row was not decisive for the goal.”

The victory raised Liverpool’s balance to 16th point at the top of the Premier League rankings, while West Ham’s balance froze at eighth point at 15th place.

Mohamed Salah’s seventh goal in the league this season was the second scorer behind Son Heung-min, and the eighth overall.

The goal is his 102nd with the Liverpool jersey in various tournaments since joining the team.
