Books – Ali Al-Bahji:
Ahmed Fathy, the Al-Ahly player, was eager to send a message to the fans of Al-Hamra Castle, after the team’s match against Tala’a El-Geish at the end of his career with the team, before moving on to wear the Pyramids jersey, starting next season.
Ahmed Fathy, the new Pyramids player, played his last match for the Al-Ahly club following his participation in the Tala’a Al-Jaysh match, which the Red Genie won 3-0 at the end of the Egyptian Premier League.
Fathi told Al-Ahly TV: “My departure from Al-Ahly and moving to Pyramids was a difficult decision after 12 years at the club.”
He added that his presence at Al-Ahly considers it one of the best periods of his life and is grateful to all those who supported him during that period, be they players, technical teams or fans.
He continued: “I will never forget you, God willing, please at the time of the Al-Ahly club, and it is normal for people to come and go and others to leave, because this is the year of life.”
He continued: “I hope that my presence with Al-Ahly is without problems with anyone, and that I have not fallen short of the club’s right during this period.”
He concluded his words: “I apologize to everyone who one day got angry with me and I wish the team to win the African Champions League, which has been absent from the club’s coffers for a long time.”
