Books – Omar Qura:
Al-Ahly achieved an unprecedented record in the Egyptian Premier League for the 2019/2020 season, defeating Tala’a El-Geish (3-0) on Saturday night, in the last match of the final round of the competition at the “Al-Ahly We Peace” stadium.
Al-Ahly raised their score to (89 points) at the top of the standings to win the league with the most points in competition history, breaking their previous record, which they set by crowning the title in the 2017/2018 season with a score of (88 points).
Al-Ahly also managed to equal the record for the highest number of wins in a season for the Egyptian Premier League (28 wins), which is the figure that Red Genius himself achieved in the 2017/2018 season with coach Hossam El-Badry.
However, Al-Ahly failed to pursue their previous number as the most goals in a league edition, after only scoring 74 goals, one goal behind their previous number in the 2017/2018 season in the who scored 75 goals.
In another context, Al-Ahly came out with a clean sheet in 28 games this season in the 34 games they played, after conceding only eight goals in five games, knowing that he did not compete in the first round match because he did not attend Zamalek.
And Al-Ahly, after Ali Lotfi kept the nets clean against Al-Tale’i, reached 28 games with a clean sheet, to be the only one in the record he shared with Ismaily, when he came out with (27 Goal to zero in 35 games) in the 1990/1991 season.
