The Egyptian Football Association decided to extend the first registration period to November 11 instead of November 4, based on the wish of all the clubs that attended the five-year committee meeting in charge of the management of the federation and representatives of clubs in the Premier League, held today.
In a different context, the Football Association sent an official letter to FIFA notifying it of the details of the roadmap, which includes the general assembly to modify the list and the date of opening the door to the nomination and elections. That same month, the Football Federation expects FIFA to respond by agreeing and giving the green light to market the list and send it to the clubs before the general assembly.
On the other hand, the Football Association approved the format for next season’s competitions as follows:
First: Section Two
It consists of three groups, each of which consists of 16 teams, with a total of 48 teams (the 36 teams + 12 teams that ranked first in the 12 groups of the third division). Between each group of the three groups, a two-round league is held. The first of each group ascends to the first division.
Player registration ends 11/21/2020 AD, while matches start 11/25/2020 AD
Second: Section Three
It consists of 178 teams (155 teams + 23 classified from the fourth division) … it is divided into 12 groups … the first of each of them ascends to the second section ..
Registration ends 11/28/2020 AD and matches will start 11/30/2020 AD.
Third: Section Four
It consists of 352 clubs + newly incorporated clubs distributed among groups according to geographical location. Registration ends 11/30/2020 AD, so matches begin in the first week of December 2020 AD
Fourth: Assign a group to Sinai
To encourage club participation in South and North Sinai and broaden the practice base in accordance with Federation policy and objectives, a group will be assigned to the third section, beginning in the 21/22 season. , the first of which ascends directly to the second section.
