Journalist Ahmed Moussa said coordination is very important between Egypt and Sudan in the coming period, especially with the resumption of the Renaissance dam negotiations again after a permanent two-month hiatus. He noted that the statements by Egypt and Sudan indicate a change in their line in the Renaissance dam negotiations.
He added during today’s episode of the “On My Responsibility” program, broadcast on the “Sada Al Balad” channel, that Ethiopia is under international pressure from the United States and the European Union to resolve the crisis of the Renaissance dam. He noted that Ethiopia is pushing back the time until the end of Trump’s term.
Moussa indicated that Ethiopia wants the US candidate to arrive with both hands to give him the right to have water.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today at the Ittihadiya Palace Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, president of the Sudan Sovereignty Council, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Minister Abbas Kamel, Chief of General Intelligence, and the Egyptian Ambassador in Khartoum.
Ambassador Bassam Radi, official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the President welcomed his brother, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan in Cairo, referring to the eternal ties that unite the inhabitants of the valley of the Nile, the historical connection between Egypt and Sudan and the unity of destiny and common interest that unites the two brother peoples, and affirming the Egyptian position. The strong strategic supporter of the security and stability of Sudan and its brother people, and the enthusiasm of Egypt to continue cooperation and coordination with Sudan in all files of mutual interest, and to push for the rapid implementation of joint development projects, such as the electrical connection and the railway line, for the good of the peoples of the two countries.
