During the last hours, social networking sites witnessed the circulation of a news item that claimed that there was a fatal error in the Islamic religious education textbook scheduled for the fifth grade of primary school.

The news indicated that this error is found on page 67 of Surat al-Takwir, where verse 24 was written incompletely, so it is written in the book: {And what is Bainen} even though the verse is supposed to be written from as follows {And what’s in the invisible Bennin}

For his part, the Minister of Education and Technical Education, Dr. Tariq Shawky, was interested in responding to this news that is circulating to stop the controversy that has arisen.

Where the Minister of Education said through a group of teachers on the WhatsApp application: I would like to inform everyone that the image in circulation is a copy of the experimental version of the religious education book developed for the brother Emirates in 2016, and the matter was sorted out after that.

The Education Minister added: Recently, the conflicting parties in Yemen have taken advantage of the old image to accuse the other party of causing this mistake.

The Minister of Education continued: Based on what has been explained above, the Egyptian curricula have nothing to do with the news.

The Minister of Education concluded his comments by saying: I hope not to circulate any news about the curricula until after I return to the Egyptian Ministry of Education office or review the prescribed books in Egyptian schools this year.

On the other hand … some websites and social media pages have reported news about the closure of Misr International School in Giza due to the presence of Corona injuries.

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education confirmed that this statement is completely incorrect, and that the presence of injured in Egyptian intergovernmental schools is not true (Sheikh Zayed Administration – Pyramid Administration – October Administration) and that the study is regular since September 20, 2020 to date.

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education called on all media to investigate the veracity of what was published about the presence of suspected cases of Coronavirus in schools, to avoid stirring up public opinion and confusion among parents, which negatively affects conditions of the educational system.
