Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes his team is currently suffering for 3 reasons.
City continued to squander points in the Premier League by drawing 1-1 with West Ham United in the sixth round of the competition.
Guardiola said in statements, especially on his club’s website: “We are currently suffering from the many injuries and the lack of preparation for each game, as well as the difficult games we have played so far.
He added that “Gabriel Jesús was injured in the first match and Sergio Agüero was out of the stadium for 4 months before returning and injuring himself again.”
He continued: “Kevin de Bruyne was also infected and is coming back, and we lost Ilkay Gundogan for a while to the Corona virus before he came back.”
“Playing every three days requires the presence of the whole team. The absence of some makes it more difficult.”
“I am not saying that this is the reason for anything, but it is the truth,” stressed the Spanish coach.
“Now we are going to recover and think about the next Champions League game, outside our stadium, against Marseille,” he said.

West Ham ended a nine-game losing streak against Manchester City in all competitions, racking up a point for the first time against City since January 2016.
8 matches in the English Premier League out of 9 in which City beat the Hammers.
Michael Antonio offered the hosts first, and in the second half substitute Phil Foden scored the equalizer.
It tied to raise the balance of the two teams to 8 points, but City played a smaller game, to remain together in 10th and 11th places.
