Former Manchester United winger Patrice Evra poked fun at the clip of Harry Maguire’s interference with Cesar Azpilicueta at United’s summit against Chelsea.

The mostly boring summit witnessed a controversial shot after Chelsea demanded a penalty for Maguire’s intervention on Azpilicueta, but the referee said nothing.

“I used to watch wrestling and Maguire reminded me of Hulk Hogan (wrestling legend),” Evra said.

“It was a very clear shame,” he added during an appearance on Sky Sports.

“The kick was clear and we were able to talk about video technology all day because of that shot.”

“The game was very boring. I didn’t even see 7 good assists in the game,” he said.

“The players played like they were wearing safety vests. I never liked it and I always wanted the players to play without fear,” he continued.

“Chelsea’s best player was Thiago Silva, and United’s best was Lindelof, so the result is clear,” Evra said.

He concluded: “I am not surprised by the result of the tie.”

The tie lifted Manchester United to point 7 at 15th, leaving it with one match.

While Chelsea reached point 9 in sixth place.
