Education Minister Dr. Tariq Shawky published an explanation to teachers about the special salary increases that were approved by the Council of Ministers two days ago.
The minister said in his personal account on the social network site “Facebook”: Since we announced the bill on the financial conditions of teachers, some have made an effort to calculate the increases, and rumors spread questioning what we presented In terms of numbers, and since the law was on its way to Parliament and it is not allowed to circulate, I liked to put in your hands some characteristics so that some do not rush to spread frustrating rumors.
Regarding the proposed increases, the Minister of Education specified the following:
(1) Increased Teacher Assignment: 50 50% of the value of this assignment on 6/30/2020
(2) Increase the monthly performance incentive: 50% of the value of this incentive on 06/30/2020.
(3) Exam Reward Increase: 25% of Reward Value Decided on 6/30/2020
(4) A monthly school administration incentive = £ 250,150 for the principal and agent.
The minister pointed out that the average monthly increase for the teacher ranges between 325 and 475 pounds, excluding the incentive of the school administration.
The Minister of Education indicated the following:
(1) This proposal was approved by the Council of Ministers.
(2) The proposed law will be discussed in the next parliamentary session.
(3) Financial details are the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance and not of Education.
(4) Wait until the deliberations of the parliament are completed and the law is passed before interpreting.
(5) Please do not ask the Ministry of Education about it until the law is finalized.
