Books – Hadi Al-Madani:
Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek, published on Wednesday the letter sent by the club to the African Football Confederation (CAF) regarding the decision to postpone the match against Raja Casablanca in the second leg of the semifinals of the African Champions League .
The letter, stamped with the club’s seal and signed by the CEO, said that Zamalek declared his commitment to play the game against Raja on October 24, but did not mind postponing the two conditions for this matter.
The first condition imposed by Zamalek is that the Champions League final be postponed in case Zamalek qualifies for a number of days equal to the days on which the semi-final of the tournament is postponed against Raja.
Zamalek’s speech read: “Because it is unfair if the Zamalek club qualifies for the final match, God willing, to have only 5 days to play the final match, on November 6 at a time when the other team that qualified for the final game he had more rest than 14 days. “
Regarding the second condition: “If the decision is to postpone the Zamalek match and wait and not postpone the final match, justice dictates that the match to be played between Al-Ahly and Wydad be postponed, so the two matches They will be played on two consecutive days for equal opportunities. “
Today, Thursday, the African Union has decided to postpone the semi-finals of the Champions League between Zamalek and Al-Raja, which will take place on November 1.
