United Arab Emirates and Israel sign memorandum of mutual exemption from prior visas

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced that UAE citizens can travel to Israel without the need for a prior visa and for a maximum period of 90 days per visit.

This is based on a memorandum of understanding on the mutual exemption of prior visas between the United Arab Emirates and the State of Israel, which was signed by Omar Saif Ghobash, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy, and for the State of Israel, Shlomo Mor-Yusef, Director General of the Population and Immigration Authority. Ghobash said that the entry into force of the memorandum allows Emirati passport holders to enter the territory of the State of Israel without a prior visa, noting that this reflects the desire of the two countries to strengthen relations and the great and promising opportunities of cooperation that await the two countries, and opens new horizons for cooperation in the region and to unlock economic potential. And creating opportunities for regional cooperation, with the aim of achieving prosperity for the peoples of the region and ensuring a better future for future generations.

He stressed that the mutual exemption of prior visas will have multiple positive impacts on tourism, trade, investment and other sectors and will strengthen the ties of joint cooperation between the two countries.
