US President Donald Trump faces rival Democratic candidate Joe Biden in his last debate in the presidential race.
The debate began with a discussion of the Corona crisis, as Trump defended his handling of the crisis, saying his measures helped reduce the number of deaths.
But Biden accused the Trump administration of underestimating the crisis and not taking responsibility as it should.
On the issue of interference in the elections, he promised the countries that interfere in the US elections that “they will pay the price” if he wins the presidency.
This debate, to be held in Nashville, Tennessee, is expected to have the greatest impact on the candidates’ election campaign, as it occurs 12 days before the date set for the vote.
A debate scheduled for last week was canceled after it was announced that Trump had been infected with the Coronavirus.
To avoid a repeat of what happened during the first debate and to avoid interrupting each candidate continuously, each candidate’s voice is separated for two minutes at the beginning of the period assigned to his opponent, before resuming the open debate.
Before the debate, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows confirmed that Trump had tested himself for coronavirus and that the result was negative.
This came after the Biden campaign announced that the Corona test result for the Democratic candidate, who was vice president during the Obama administration, was negative.
More than 42 million Americans have reportedly cast their first votes in the presidential race so far, before voting day scheduled for November 3. /November.
