Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education, revealed 3 alternatives for students in the general education stages regarding attendance problems in the new school year in light of the spread of the Corona virus.

“Shawky” said, in a phone call with journalist Rami Radwan on the “DMC Evening” program broadcast on the satellite channel “DMC” on Wednesday, that there will be three options for students in light of Corona.

He added: “The first option is what the state currently offers through reciprocal education between school and distance learning. The second option is to postpone the school year so that the student has a tutor and requests that their child be excluded. of the current school year. “

He continued: “The third option is that the tutor requests that he be transferred to a student of origin for this year, and that he sit at home and receive the available teaching methods, either through television channels or electronic platforms, and go during the exam period. “

He highlighted that 8 million students have benefited from the new educational system, from KG1 to third grade.

In an intervention with the program “Papel y Pluma” of the satellite channel “TeN”, he explained that the new curricula for fourth, fifth and sixth grade will be done in a single batch, and at the same time the secondary will be developed, indicating that The educational programs for the third grade of secondary school have been developed on the e-learning platform. French and German have also been added.

Shawky added: “Our school channel was opened, and on November 15 another channel will be opened for elementary students,” noting that the old system for high school has been canceled and a system that includes 3 opportunities will be implemented, which means that the student will take the exam three times voluntarily, which means they have three opportunities to improve their grades. And a diligent person will be paid for his diligence. +

Commenting on the Prime Minister’s decision today to increase teacher salaries, Shawky added: “We thank President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for this effort,” noting that a law has been made and Parliament will present it for approval.

The Minister of Education continued: “Despite the economic crisis we are experiencing, this law has been implemented,” noting that the law allows an increase provided that resources are available, and the current increase ranges from 320 to 475 senior teachers, and this is the first stage.
