Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up on a series of reports issued by the Forecasting Center, in the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and the General Meteorology Authority, in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, on the climatic conditions forecast for the next period, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abdel Ati, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Major General Hisham Tahoun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Meteorological Authority, and several officials of the Ministry and Authority.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouly ordered to send detailed reports on the state of the weather over the next few days to the governorates and agencies of the new cities, to prepare for immediate management in areas where heavy rains are expected, especially during the peak days of this wave, which is expected, according to reports, Friday and Saturday.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed the relevant ministries and the different provinces to raise the level of preparation and ensure the availability of the necessary equipment to face the repercussions that could occur as a result of the country’s exposure to a state of instability. weather conditions over the next few days, highlighting the continued operation of all crisis management rooms. Immediately attend to any evolution related to the instability of the meteorological conditions
Councilor Nader Saad, official spokesman for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, indicated that a report on the expected climate for the Arab Republic of Egypt was reviewed during the period from today October 20 to Sunday 25 of the same month. since it indicated that the country is expected to be experiencing a state of instability in climatic conditions, and moderate, torrential rains and sometimes electrical storms fall in various regions of the Republic, while they can reach the level of torrents in other areas such as the north and central Sinai, this adds to the drop in temperatures with values varying from 4 to 5 degrees, as of Thursday, October 22, in the north coast, the lower sea and the north of Upper Egypt.
Several maps of the expected rainfall during the next period, the regions and governorates affected by these rains, and an estimate of the amount of rainfall expected in the different regions of the Republic were also reviewed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Major General Hisham Tahoun indicated that the authority provided many means to follow the latest weather forecast updates and developments, including daily bulletins issued through the authority, the weekly weather forecast, in addition to the possibility to follow the official page of the authority on the social network Facebook. As well as the official website of the authority on the internet, or through direct contact with the authority through the designated phone numbers to receive inquiries about weather conditions 24 hours a day.
