Today, Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 67 people in recovery from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover from the virus to 98,314 cases to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 123 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the Ministry according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 10 new cases.
Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid claimed that the total number that was recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus as of Monday is 105,547 cases, including 98,314 cases that have been cured and 6,130 deaths.
