Mohamed Al-Arasi, the Moroccan doctor from Raja, confirmed that the injury to the two team members, Sofiane Rahimi and Mohamed Arjoun, will not prevent them from participating in the rematch against Zamalek.
Raja is scheduled to visit Zamalek in the second leg of the African Champions League semi-final on 24 October, after the white team managed to snatch the victory from him in Casablanca with an unanswered goal.
During the events of the second half of the first leg, Arjoun left the match after complaining of a thigh injury, while Rahimi suffered a nose injury.
During television remarks broadcast by the Moroccan daily Al-Mukhtab, Al-Raja’s doctor said: “Arjun’s injury to his thigh is not a cause for concern, it is a result of fatigue.”
He added: “As for Rahimi, he suffered a nosebleed as a result of colliding with a player from the opposing team, but he did not suffer a broken nose.”
“The injury will not prevent the duo from participating in the second leg, and the rest of the team’s injuries will also be linked to the team’s trip to Cairo,” Al-Arasi concluded.
It is worth noting that the return match between Zamalek and Al-Raja will take place at the Cairo Stadium on October 24.
