The Egyptian Football Association decided to submit the names of the top four clubs to the Premier League competition to participate in the next two African club championships, similar to last season, as this season’s Egypt Cup will end at a time close to the launch of the new version of the African championships. As a result, the first and second place winners will participate in the African League Championship, while the third and fourth place will participate in the Confederation.
Since the Al-Ahly club has decided first place in its favor, it will participate in the league champions, while Pyramids and Zamalek will compete for second place, while contractors and Smouha teams will compete for fourth place.
And because the competition for second place will not be decided except in the last round of the league competition, and there is a possibility that the competition for fourth place will also be extended to the last round, if it is not decided today during Egypt’s compensation match with Smouha, the Egyptian Football Association decided to run for the African Union. Extension of the deadline for sending club names to the end of October instead of the 20th of the same month
The request of the Egyptian Federation arises from the possibility of waiting long enough until the end of the League Championship on November 6, due to the possibility that Zamalek will win it, which, if it occurs, will be able to participate with him in the tournament although his classification in the league come after first and second place.
