The text of the law approved by the House of Representatives and approved by the President:
Article 1: Without prejudice to the provisions of the law that regulates nuclear and radiological activities promulgated by Law No. 7 of 2010 and the relevant international agreements in force in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the provisions of the attached law on the matter shall apply. of waste management organization.
Second topic:
The Waste Management Regulatory Authority established by virtue of the attached law replaces the Waste Management Regulatory Authority established by the Prime Minister’s Resolution No. 3005 of 2015, and its rights correspond and assume its obligations.
All employees of the Waste Management Regulatory Agency established by decision of the Prime Minister referred to the Agency under the attached law their status and employment status without the need to take any further action.
The minister in charge of environmental affairs issues a decision to delegate or assign who the specialists must work for the agency until the issuance of its internal regulations in the manner established by the attached law.
Article three:
The municipal waste integral management units will be transferred to the competent administrative authority established in accordance with the law attached to the cleaning funds of facilities belonging to the local management units established in article 8 of Law No. 38 of 1967 in public toilet matter.
Article four:
The Prime Minister will issue the executive regulation of the accompanying law within six months from the date of its implementation, and until this regulation is issued, the regulations and decisions in force in this regard will continue to be applied in a manner that does not contradict the provisions of the law.
Fifth article:
Without prejudice to the provisions of article 3 of this Law and the Law of Facilitating Procedures for the Granting of Licenses to Industrial Establishments promulgated by Law No. 15 of 2017 that repeals the text of Article 8 of Law No. 38 of 1967 on public cleaning and repeals the Decree of the Prime Minister No. 3005 of 2015 that establishes the Regulatory Authority for Waste Management. Any provision that contradicts the provisions of the attached law will also be canceled.
Article six:
This law will be published in the Official Gazette and will enter into force as of the day following the date of its publication.
