The “Supreme Court for Universities” announces the details of the preparation plan for the start of studies

Today Wednesday, the Supreme Council of Universities held its monthly meeting chaired by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of the presidents of public universities and Dr. Muhammad Latif, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Council issued a series of decisions to prepare for the start of the new academic year, as follows:

– Complete all precautionary measures with the formation of a committee in each university headed by the Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development Supervise the monitoring of all precautionary measures to prevent the emerging coronavirus, provided that this committee is authorized to monitor and test the infractions that can be committed on campus due to the precautionary measures taken by the university and approved by the Supreme Council of University Hospitals and prepare a report on these infractions to present it to the competent authority to take the necessary actions.

– The completion of all study schedules and their announcement during the first week of study in accordance with the hybrid educational system announced and in accordance with the nature of the colleges and institutes.

– The commitment of the professors to be present from the first day of study and the importance of initiating reviews on courses and trainings that were not completed during the suspension of the study due to the emerging coronavirus pandemic.

– Pay attention to the cultural and awareness aspect during the school year with a focus on presenting students the important problems of the homeland and the importance of facing rumors and attacking the state and its institutions of terrorist groups, with the need to educate the university community about the importance of class unity and national projects in all areas that the Egyptian state has achieved and achieved for the benefit of the citizen.

Preparation in colleges and institutes of universities with designated areas for classification and temporary isolation in case of suspected cases of emerging coronavirus, with implementation steps to attend to cases through the central sector of crisis management and coordination with university hospitals and infection control units in this sense and circulation of the questionnaire prepared by the Supreme Council of University Hospitals. All university students and employees should be encouraged to contact the 105 hotline and then choose number 3 to consult with faculty members in Egyptian medical schools in case symptoms appear in them.

Emphasis on the prompt start-up of private university projects related to public universities, with the need for a rapid completion of the proposed academic programs.

Emphasis on the rapid completion of the national project for the information environment system for Egyptian universities, through specific calendars, especially regarding the smart university system and standardized electronic examinations, and the speed of completion of the electronic examination centers in all public universities and the national university hospital automation project, in accordance with the mandates of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in light of the unprecedented support provided by the Rector to develop the university education system and university hospitals.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities thanked Mr. Atta, General Supervisor of Coordination and all the employees of the Coordination Office for their remarkable efforts. The Council also commended the support provided by Ain Shams University to facilitate the work of the Coordination Office.
