The South African Pitso Musimane, coach of Al-Ahly’s first football team, has settled on the list of his team that will travel to Morocco to face Moroccan Wydad, in the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly football director, said in an exclusive statement to “Al-Watan Sport” that Musimani decided to accompany all the players registered on the African roster.
Abdel Hafeez explained that Al-Ahly’s mission will include 22 players and that 8 players have been excluded, according to the football coach, in his private statements.
The roster includes 22 players:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shennawi, Ali Lotfi, Mustafa Schubert.
Defense line: Mahmoud Wahid, Ayman Ashraf, Ali Maaloul, Yasser Ibrahim, Ahmed Fathy, Muhammad Hani.
Midfilders: Amr Al-Soulia, Hamdi Fathy, Diang, Saleh Jumaa, Mohamed Magdy Qafsha.
Offensive line: Giraldo, Ahmed Al-Sheikh, Ajay, Hussein Al-Shahat, Kahraba, Walid Suleiman, Badji, Marwan Mohsen.
Three other players will be absent, and they are the rest of those registered on the African list, and they are: Rami Rabia, Saad Samir and Mahmoud Metwally, due to injury.
