Talaat Youssef, the coach of the Alexandria Federation, apologized for not completing his mission with the team, during the emergency session he had with the Board of Directors on Monday.
This followed Al-Ittihad’s loss to Al-Masry Al-Youm by two goals to one goal in a postponed match on matchday 20 of the league.
Talaat Youssef praised the support of the Board of Directors during the period of his assumption of responsibility, noting that the multiple injuries and the lack of influence of some players affected the team in the second round.
The Federation Board of Directors thanked Talaat Youssef for his efforts to lead the team.
The federation management authorized the club president, Mohamed Moselhy, to negotiate and select the new coach.
Consequently, Meslehi decided to form a committee of members of the administration headed by him to determine the new coach and the auxiliary body.
The board of directors decided to assign Mounir Agila, the general coach, to lead the team until the announcement of the contract with a new coach.
The administration also decided to discount 50 thousand pounds to the players due to the low level they showed in the last matches.
Al-Ittihad ranks 10th in the league table with 39 points.
It is noteworthy that Talaat Youssef led Al-Ittihad in 36 matches, winning 11 and tied in 15 matches, losing 10 times.
Under his leadership, the team scored 38 goals and conceded another 36.
This is the end of the 65-year-old coach’s sixth term with Al Ittihad in Alexandria.
