The prosecution reveals the details of the New Cairo accident and decides to detain two drivers in custody

The Public Ministry ordered the preventive detention of the drivers of the vehicle and bus; Because they caused an accident that killed a child and injured three others in New Cairo.

The Prosecutor’s Office received a notification that a school vehicle collided with a tour bus in the First Settlement area in New Cairo, resulting in the death of a child and the injury of three others.

Then the “Public Ministry” went to discuss the body of the deceased minor and asked two of the injured children. One of them, aged 13, decided that the accident occurred due to the negligence of vehicle and bus drivers and their failure to comply with traffic regulations. He also requested the Public Ministry to supervise the school vehicle and witnessed that the accident occurred during a crossing. The vehicle on the road was struck from behind by the bus.

While the “Public Ministry” interrogated the two defendants, both denied the accusations against them and each accused the other of causing the accident.

The “Public Ministry” examined the scene of the accident, the vehicle and the bus, obtained a video clip of the accident recorded by one of the monitoring machines that watched it, and decided, to complete the investigations, assign the “forensic doctor” to analyze a sample of the two leaders, indicating the degree to which one of them had consumed narcotic substances, and assigned the “technical engineer” to the competent traffic unit. Examining the vehicle and bus and its technical equipment to establish a vision of how the accident occurred, and requested police inquiries into the incident; Investigations are being completed.
