Today Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 45 people in recovery from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovering according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who 97,688 cases have been recovered from the virus to date.
Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, stated that 129 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 12 new cases.
Mujahid said that, according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.
Mujahid said that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today Sunday is 104,516 cases, including 97,688 cured cases and 6,052 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the governorates of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a series of media outlets to receive inquiries from citizens on emerging coronavirus and infectious diseases. , Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health” available on phones.
