Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, issued a ministerial decision on the organization of school strengthening groups during the next academic year 2021/2020.
The decision provided that the recovery groups will be optional in the study subjects for students at the administration level for high school and secondary diplomas and at the school level for transfer classes, with the aim of improving the student’s academic level with those subjects. .
According to the decision, the time assigned to the group will be two hours per week in accordance with the educational plan specified for academic subjects, and it is taken into account that the group is made up of a number of students according to the area of the designated corridors with the need to take precautionary measures to maintain public health.
The decision stipulated a 50% reduction in the specified contributions for all academic classes for the children of martyrs, children of teachers in education and orphaned students, and a reduction of 25% for the rest of the education workers, after present documents that indicate it.
The decision also stipulated that the director of the relevant educational administration and the administration board of trustees will determine the fee for the participation of undergraduate students (local / public) in a class, while the director of the school administration and the school board of trustees will determine the subscription fee for students in transfer classes, keeping in mind that the minimum is (10) Pounds) and the maximum (85 pounds).
According to the decision, it is allowed to seek the assistance of some cadres who do not work in the Ministry of Education and Technical Education after reviewing their qualifications by the general director of the corresponding educational administration, provided that the percentage of these does not exceed the 25% of the total number of teachers participating in the groups.
The decision stipulated that subscription fees will be charged and their income will be distributed to participants in accordance with financial regulations that will be prepared in this regard, taking into account that the percentage of performance for teachers is not less than 75% of income totals.
