Fyler: “Weirdness” is tired … I didn’t enjoy privacy in Egypt

Renee Fyler, former coach of the Al-Ahly club, confirmed that the spread of the Corona virus was one of the main reasons for his departure from his mission with the team, given his inability to be with his family for long periods.

In a video interview with Swiss television, Weiler noted that what he described as “alienation” and the strength of his bond with his family, was a difficult test that he could not endure.

Weiler said: “The reason for my departure is very simple, Corona has started to find its way in Cairo, and I only saw my family once, last February, when I came to Switzerland and returned by private plane in June.” .

And he continued: “I did not enjoy privacy in my life in Egypt, I could not go out to eat outside his residence, if I wanted to go out I have to hide because of the large crowd of the team, and despite that they know me.”

He added: “Rarity, the strength of the correlation is indescribable. If you were not tested with that test yourself, you would not feel what I say, it was very exhausting.”

Regarding the riots that accompanied Al-Ahly’s confrontation with the Sudanese Al-Hilal, he said: “What happened to us in Khartoum is indescribable. I don’t want to remember that at all. I, my colleagues, feared for our lives.”

He added: “The game was tough, we just needed a draw and we improved with a clean goal, and 15 minutes before the end of the game, we had a goal kick, but the Al Hilal fans wanted a corner.”

He concluded: “After the wrong decision, they started to invade the stadium, and we found things flying towards us from the stands, which is unimaginable, and after the end we were protected by a lot of policemen, and they had weapons as if we were in a war movie. “
