The Great Mosque Carpet and Disinfection Department will wash the Great Mosque 10 times a day, and the washing will be after the pilgrims finish performing the Umrah rituals, and 4,000 male and female workers participate in the process, and are used daily 60,000 liters of detergents and disinfectants, which are of high quality and friendly to the environment.
In addition, 100 modern high-tech washing equipment will participate in the 24-hour purification process, 9,000 carpets will be laid and all precautionary measures will be applied to ensure space between the faithful, and more than 180 field supervisors supervise these Homeworks.
Previously, official statistics released by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia revealed that more than 108,000 permits had been issued to perform Umrah rituals, since the launch of the implementation of the “Umrah program” on September 27, until the end of Thursday 1 October.
The number of permits reached 10,041, of which 42,873 were granted to citizens, while the permits granted to residents reached 65,128.
In the first hour of its launch, the “Umrah us” application registered some 16,000 pilgrims, while the total number of registered in the first week of launch reached 309,686 citizens and residents, of which 224,929 are basic registrants and 84,757 companions.
