Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly’s football director, confirmed that Amr Moheb would continue on the coaching staff to do translation work for Betso Mosimani, the team’s new coach.

Abdel Hafeez told Al-Ahly’s official website: “He is a lover of distinguished competitions, and his tenure in the coaching staff of the football team is a great gain, after the good performance he gave during the last period.”

Moheb continues to work at Al-Ahly, after joining the coaching staff during Swiss coach Rene Fyler’s tenure, and was a translator for Patrice Carteron during his tenure at Al-Ahly.

Musimani, 56, signed a two-year contract with Al-Ahly, and his mission begins with the Red Castle in a strong showdown against the Arab Contractors on Sunday in the Egyptian Premier League.

Their most important mission will be in the African Champions League, in which Al-Ahly play Wydad in the semi-finals.

Al-Ahly will be invited to Wydad on October 17, and after 6 days he will host the return, and if he crosses to the final, he will face Zamalek or Raja.

Mosimane won the Champions League in 2016 with his former club Mamelodi Sundowns.

He served as coach of the South African national team from 2010 to 2012.
