Deputy Diaa El-Din Daoud, a member of the Legislative Committee of the House of Representatives and a candidate in the first district of the Tanta governorate, filed an appeal this morning before the Supreme Administrative Court, which decided to exclude his candidacy for the elections , on the pretext of not presenting his wife’s financial statement, as well as her partisan character.

Diaa Al-Din Daoud said that the appeal included proving that I submitted all the documents required for my candidacy for the House of Representatives elections, and includes the required financial disclosures, demanding the withdrawal of the appeal against him, highlighting that he has confidence in the justice of the Egyptian judiciary.
Dawood added in statements to Al-Masry Al-Youm that I do not know the reason for issuing this ruling, especially since the attorney who filed the appeal against me withdrew it before the verdict was rendered.

And “Daoud” added: “I am waiting for your session to be scheduled to review this appeal, and I will not have any comment on the final ruling, whether it would exclude me or not.”
The Ras El-Bar Administrative Judicial Court issued a ruling last night to exclude Diaa Al-Din Daoud, the candidate for the sole seat in the first electoral district, and Muhammad Sami Suleiman, the individual candidate in the first electoral district of the Republican People’s Party, for not presenting any proof of the wife’s financial disclosure, as well as partisan character.

It is reported that one of the lawyers from the province of Tanta filed a lawsuit with the administrative judiciary to challenge the candidacy of “Daoud” and several candidates to demand that the proceedings for their candidacy be stopped. The administrative judiciary issued a ruling to exclude “Daoud” from the elections.
Damietta is within the governorates of the first phase, scheduled for next November, in the first district, Bandar, Damietta Center, Ras El-Bar, New Damietta, Kafr Al-Battikh and its dependencies, and in the second district, Kafr Saad, Farskor and Zarqa.
