In an official statement, Liverpool FC announced that its star, Sadio Mane, was infected with the new Corona virus “Covid 19”, and the player is currently undergoing individual isolation, according to the procedures followed.
The player began on Monday facing Arsenal in the Premier League, and showed slight symptoms, but according to the club’s statement, the player is in good health.
The club indicated that it will follow the necessary procedures, as happened with his colleague Thiago Alcántara, and will continue to follow the preventive protocol, and the player will be subject to the required isolation time until he recovers from the injury.
The Liverpool star wrote, through his official account on the “Instagram” website, after announcing his club: “Welcome, I have the new Corona virus, but I feel fine and no strong symptoms have appeared.”
“I will begin the quarantine period and the recovery process quickly,” he added.
And he continued: “Take care of your safety and follow all the rules to protect yourself and your loved ones and avoid the second wave of Covid 19, which extends throughout the year.”
“I will come back stronger than I was and we will overcome it together,” he concluded.
The 28-year-old Mane participated this season in 4 games in all competitions, during which he scored 3 goals.
Mane is the third coronavirus infection among Liverpool’s ranks, after a player whose name the club did not reveal during preparations for the start of the new season in mid-August, and Thiago.
Liverpool are preparing to face Aston Villa in the fourth round of the Premier League on Sunday.
