Shukry said that in recent days we have been hit by a torrent of these statements, dealing from a Turkish perspective on what Egypt should or should not do.
He added that these statements contain many contradictions … we see regarding the Egypt-Greece maritime border demarcation agreement a statement that includes an objection to this agreement, and then today or yesterday they make a statement saying that the demarcation agreement of the border does not affect Turkish interests.
“If it does not influence, then what is the objection,” added the minister, surprisingly. The truth is that they are all contradictory conversations and a claim that there are those who know the interest of Egypt and the Egyptian people to a greater extent than the officials who entrusted this honor to represent the Egyptian people and care for their interests.
“I hope everyone trusts that Egypt is aware of their interests, defends them and is capable of defending them,” Shoukry said. Each party must pay attention to itself and the interests of its people and let those who bear responsibility act fully.
The minister emphasized that such a statement issued by Turkey also lacks any discussion on why terrorist organizations working to destabilize Egypt are embraced by spreading lies and adopting terrorist elements that lead to an attempt to destabilize the countries of the region. What is the legitimacy on which it is based? Likewise, the military presence in Arab countries without any legal basis, since it is more likely to be appreciated and considered in any conversation in which there is some kind of interference in the internal affairs of Egypt or in the way Egypt manages its affairs. international relations.
Shoukry concluded his statement by underlining that Egypt is known for its commitment to international legitimacy, its commitment to the scope of the United Nations and its observance of all international laws.
