Betso Mosimane, the new technical director of the Al-Ahly club, sent a message to the fans of the Red Team, and was willing to extend his thanks and appreciation to the Red Castle Board of Directors for the confidence they gave him to take on the task team technique.
Today, Thursday, Al-Ahly announced the appointment of Musimani as technical director of the Red Team, to succeed Rene Fyler. (See official club statement)
During Musimani’s remarks published in the “Times Life” newspaper, the South African coach said: “Happy to join Al-Ahly, I am proud and honored to lead the team.”
He added: “I am grateful to Bebo (Mahmoud Al-Khatib), the club president and the Al-Ahly board of directors, for the confidence they have given me by assigning me this difficult task.
He continued: “Everyone has shown me confidence and believes that I can take the team to a better stage.”
Musimani sent a message to Al-Ahly fans, saying: “Give me some time and support, and I will take Al-Ahly to a better stage. I promise I will live up to the responsibility.”
It’s worth noting that Musimane has a big challenge ahead of him, as Al-Ahly are scheduled to play two big games this month against Wydad in the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League.
