Manchester United legend former England international Gary Neville criticized Egyptian star Mohamed Salah for his “selfishness” during the Liverpool-Arsenal match, which took place on Monday.
Neville harshly criticized Salah for snatching the ball from his Portuguese teammate Diogo Jota in front of Arsenal’s goal, although the latter was in good position to score, before the Egyptian player ended up losing the ball.

Neville said in remarks featured in Britain’s “Mirror” newspaper: “Salah shouldn’t do that. This is the selfish part of his playing style.”

He added: “It is not Salah’s chance, but he took the ball away from Jota, and while this greed is one of Salah’s greatest strengths, he should have left the ball to his colleague.”
“Jota would have scored a goal without Salah’s interference. You can’t do that. As much as he is a great player, he knows this is not his chance.”
The match ended with Liverpool winning 3-1, and Jota, who entered as a substitute, managed to score the third goal, while Salah was not lucky enough to visit Arsenal.
