“Health”: 104 new cases of coronavirus … and 14 deaths

Today Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 706 people recovering from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, raising the total of those who recover from the virus to 9,5080 cases to date.

Dr Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Ministry of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 104 new cases were recorded that tested positive for virus laboratory tests, as part of the necessary surveillance procedures, investigation and examination carried out by the ministry in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, noting the death of 14 new cases.

Mujahid said that according to the World Health Organization recommendations issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.

“Mujahid” stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today Sunday is 102,840 cases, including 9,580 cured cases and 5,883 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all the provinces of the Republic, follows the situation of the “emerging corona” virus first-hand and takes all necessary preventive measures against any virus or infectious disease, and the ministry has also assigned a number of media to receive inquiries from citizens on the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases. These include the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the application “Egypt Health”.
