Al-Ahly coach Rene Fyler emphasized that his focus at the moment is only on his work with the red team.

Al-Ahly defeated Tanta on matchday 30 of the Egyptian League with an unanswered goal. (See details)

“I saw the game between Raja and Wydad in the Moroccan League, but I will not say my opinion on it and I will discuss it with the coaching staff because it is part of the nature of my job,” Fyler said at the post-match press conference.

He added: “We controlled the game well, wasted 5 safe chances and scored a goal that didn’t count.”

“Certainly the motives of the players are not like we were competing for the title, but winning such easy matches increases the motivation of the team in the African Championship.”

“I work with the team in each game separately, and it’s too early to talk about facing Wydad, and when the time comes, we’ll start preparing for it.”

And he added, “I do not like to say that a specific player is the protagonist of the season, although there are many distinguished players, but the level of the whole team is the most important thing.”

When asked if the offers that are presented affect his approach to Al-Ahly, the Swiss manager said: “I receive offers and this is normal, but I focus only on the team in the next matches.”

He concluded his remarks on Rami Rabia’s injury by saying: “We do not know the extent of Rabia’s injury, but I hope it is mild.”
