The Church of Our Lady and Martyr Abi Seifin in the city of Qebaa, Suez Bridge, reported that on the afternoon of Thursday, September 24 (the day before), and around seven in the afternoon, the daughter, Marina Adel, while She was in the cemetery, was subjected to a bullet shot whose origin was unknown, and security was immediately informed. The church stated in a statement on Saturday that an official report on the incident was released, the injured woman and everyone present in the church yard at the time was questioned, a medical report was issued on the incident, surveillance cameras were emptied and the matter is investigated.
The Church asked everyone to wait for the investigations and not rush to wait for the outcome of the investigation.
Fadi Youssef, a Coptic activist, stated that he had received urgent distress from a member of the Church of the Virgin Mary and Abu Seifin in the city of Qebaa on the Suez Bridge for shooting a young Coptic woman named Marina Adel (an orphan) and that she was hit by a bullet in the right shoulder.
He explained that the shooting took place exactly at seven in the afternoon on Thursday, September 24, 2020, while some girls were in church, following the decision to reopen churches in Egypt.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that there are no weddings or occasions when it is possible to shoot randomly, but near the church there are buildings under construction from which one of them can infiltrate and shoot towards the church.
Following those details, the church released an official statement revealing what happened in the incident and demanding that we wait for the results of the investigation to emerge and that we not rush to unofficially announce any details.
