The head of the Libyan Parliament, Aguila Saleh, said Thursday that the Cairo declaration is the closest to solving the Libyan crisis in all neutrality.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath, Agila Saleh added that her meeting with the Libyan army commander, Khalifa Haftar, under the auspices of Egypt, was to support a political solution and unify Libya’s institutions, which indicates that he and Haftar are on a path to solving the Libyan crisis.

Saleh emphasized that once authority is established, the Libyan armed forces will merge and the mercenaries will be expelled, noting that the Libyan army is ready to defend the country, and that each Libyan region will appoint its representative on the Presidential Council.

The Libyan official pointed out that the president of the Presidential Council and the head of government are not allowed to be from one region.

The president of the Libyan Parliament said that when a new internationally recognized authority arrives, he will ask the Turks to leave Libya and review all agreements made with them, noting that armed militias buy weapons from Turkey, and that the oil money is transferred to Turkey, so it demanded that there be a special account with money. Oil until there is a new potency.

He stressed that oil money will not be allowed to reach the armed militias and demanded the commitment of the international community to do so.
