Mahmoud Abdel Moneim (Kahraba) added Al-Ahly’s second goal in the 57th minute, while Nigerian professional Junior Ajay made sure to score the third goal in the 73rd minute.
With this victory, Al-Ahly restored their confidence to their fans, worried about the lackluster level of the team during the 0-0 draw with Al-Ittihad of Alexandria and Egypt, the clear in the last two stages of the competition.
After winning the local title, Al-Ahly are currently preparing to face Moroccan Wydad Casablanca in the middle of next month in the semifinals of the African Champions League, as the red team seeks to win the championship for the ninth time in their history and recover the title that was missing from their coffers a year ago.
