Zamalek defender Mahmoud Alaa explained the reason for his celebration after scoring the second goal for his team and himself in the match against his counterpart Tanta.

Mahmoud Alaa tweeted, through his personal account on the social network Twitter, saying: “The issue does not go beyond joking with Ferjani Sassi on the way to implementation, and I do not intend to insult and provoke the Tanta goalkeeper at all.

Mahmoud Alaa had celebrated scoring the penalty in the manner of his Tunisian colleague Ferjani Sassi, looking at the goalkeeper and trying to imitate him.

Tanta goalkeeper Mohamed Ashraf said earlier in an interview with the “Tala fans” program on the On Time Sport satellite channel that he paid no attention to Mahmoud Alaa’s celebration of scoring the penalty during the match.

Zamalek hit two penalty kicks, the first was tackled by Mohamed Ashraf at the end of the first half by Mahmoud Alaa, before the player returned and scored from a penalty kick in the second half.

Mahmoud Alaa scored two goals in Zamalek’s hat-trick against Tanta during the match that brought them together last night, Tuesday, on matchday 29 of the League Championship.
