On Tuesday, 11 districts of the Cairo Governorate will witness an 18-hour interruption in drinking water starting tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, due to the execution of the works of development in Ain Shams, which translates into a deviation of the 1000 mm diameter water line, according to Announced by the Cairo governorate.
The Cairo governorate indicated that the Drinking Water Company confirmed that the areas affected by the water cuts are (outside Al-Matariyah – Al-Masala and its branches – Jubian and its branches – Ibrahim Abdel-Razek Street and its branches – Al-Alf Maskan Area – Heikstep Area – New Nozha) for a period of 18 hours starting at ten in the morning. Tuesday until six in the morning on Wednesday, due to the fact that the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces carries out urbanization works in Ain Shams, which would imply diverting the route of the water line of 1000 mm in diameter.
The Cairo Drinking Water Company called on bakery and hospital owners to manage their water needs during the mentioned period, noting that drinking water carts will be provided in the affected areas, and if requested, please call the 125 direct line from the landline.
